Here's how to set up a Custom Domain for your Kajabi project:
(meaning you want to mask your Kajabi project under your own custom domain, ex. www.mycustomdomain.com)
Before you start:
You'll need to edit your DNS records on your DNS hosting service. Usually, this is your domain registrar (ie: GoDaddy, etc). We've provided specific DNS Record setup for all the major domain services in this category, as each provider has a different way of doing this.
Below are basic instructions for what you need to do on your own domain service (for specific instructions, just find them for your domain registrar here):
1.) Add three "A" (Host) records for the root of your domain. This indicates where traffic that visits the root of your domain with no subdomain get directed (ie: yourdomain.com). There are three of them for backup and redundancy purposes. You should enter all three.
A (Host) Records:
| HOST | POINTS TO | |
| @ | 75.101.145.87 | |
| @ | 75.101.163.44 | |
| @ | 174.129.212.2 |
2.) Next, you'll need to add a "CNAME" record. This is where you redirect the "www" hostname on your domain, pointing it to your Kajabi project.
CNAMES (Aliases):
| HOST | POINTS TO | |
| www | mykajabisubdomain.kajabi.com |
3.) Inside Kajabi, under the "Settings" tab, enter your domain name (including the "www") in the "Custom Domain" box (ex. "www.mycustomdomain.com") and make sure it is all in small letters.
4.) Once you are done with the above instructions, domain activation is automatic on our end.
*NOTE: It usually takes some time for the domain information to be replicated across domain servers on the Internet.
5.) If after 24 -48 hours and your site is still not accessible, please review all your settings. If you're still experiencing trouble, you can send an email to support@kajabi.com or use the Submit A Request form and let us know these answers:
