This tutorial will show you how to create an upsell in Kajabi (without needing your shopping cart provider to have the feature). You can use either funnel event pages, or thank you pages to perform this. We'll go over both ways in this guide.

Using Funnel Events To Create Upsell Pages:

The idea is we will be using  event pages with navigation disabled as our upsell pages.

For this example, we will have a Sales page with one Offer that links to the first upsell page that will have two Offers. One links to your cart checkout URL and the other links to the second upsell page which will again have two Offers but this time both of them links to your cart checkout URL.

• Create two event pages and disable the navigation links so no one will see the other event pages. This will be the upsell pages.
• Integrate the funnel with your shopping cart by creating the Sales page and the Offer for your base product
• Add another Offer that will link to the first event (upsell) page, set the product ID to 0 and use the first event (upsell) page URL as the checkout URL

• Next create the Offer that links to the first upsell product in the shopping cart
• Next create an Offer that will link to the second event (upsell) page, set the product ID to 0 and use the second event (upsell) page URL as the checkout URL
• Edit the Offers, set them to 'Hidden' and grab the embed codes
• Edit the first event (upsell) page and paste the Offer embed codes in the Body via the HTML editor

• Now create the Offer that links to the second upsell product in the shopping cart
• Edit this Offer and the Offer for your base product which you created earlier, set them to 'Hidden' and grab the embed codes
• Edit the second event (upsell) page and paste the Offer embed codes in the Body via the HTML editor

That's it, you have created a simple upsell process by only using event pages!

Using Thank You Pages To Create Upsell Pages:

After the customer has made a successful purchase, your customer will be brought to the Thank You page. Placing an Offer is a good idea to maximize the opportunity of getting more sales.

• Create an Offer that links to an upsell product in the shopping cart.
• Edit the Offer, set it to 'Hidden' and grab the embed code
• Finally edit the Sales page and scroll down to the Thank You page section
• Paste the Offer embed code in the Body via the HTML editor
